《简易棒球规则》
棒球这种团体性比赛始於美国，已有近二百年历史。相传棒球是由板球演变而来的，那是早期英国人迁往美国新大陆初期，由於早先英国人喜爱板球，因此也将板球带到美国；当时的成人忙於开拓新天地，无暇热衷这项运动，倒是儿童们热烈地玩这项板球游戏，因为当时从英国带来的球具不敷使用，於是尝试着自己制造，并且逐渐改良与订定新的规则和方法。真正将板球改为棒球的是一位名叫朗特斯的人，他将板球中的叁个球门改为木桩，也就是现在的叁个垒。比赛时有人掷板球，有人接掷来的球，掷接手中有打击手，各木桩前也有准备接球的人，这种方式就延伸、改进为现在的棒球运动。美国人热爱这种运动，并在一八四五年成立第一个棒球俱乐部，一八五八年美国正式组织棒球联盟来推动这种运动，当年就有职业性棒球的比赛。由於棒球运动的受到大众普遍的喜爱，也由於棒球运动的竞争激烈，世界棒球联盟已将它划分成四个阶段，那就是九至十二岁的少棒；十叁至十五岁的青少棒；十五至十八岁的青棒和十八岁以上的成棒。至於职业棒球原本和业馀棒球隶属不同的组织，但是世界棒球联盟已於一九九六年取消职业的字眼，也就是说职业球员也可以参加世界性的棒球比赛了。
棒球怎样玩打棒球的场地是每边九十英尺的菱形场地，每一个角上放一垒包，就是垒，由本垒顺序往前数，是一垒、二垒、叁垒。本垒有本垒板而没有垒包。在边线以内的地区，叫做内野，超出垒外的有效区，叫外野，由本垒到一垒和叁垒边线延长，所包括的区域，就是有效区。双方队员都要争取上垒，一垒一垒的推进，直到回本垒就算得分。以得分多少来分胜负。
九名球员上埸的九人，打击时全为打击手，要排好顺序，这个顺序是不能更换的。换人的时候，也能代替被换下人的原有顺序。防守时，一人担任投手，一人担任捕手，四人担任内野手，他们分别是一垒手、二垒手、叁垒手和游击手、叁人担任外野手，他们分别是左外野手，右外野手，和中坚手。另外在埸的人就是裁判了，裁判之一是主审，他站在本垒板的後面，他的责任是判断投手所投的球是好球、坏球、擦棒球、界外球；还判断回本垒的球员是安全，还是出局，球员是不是有犯规的情形，并且在发生争议时解释规则，做成决定。
要比赛九局成人棒球是赛九局，如双方有协议可以缩短。所谓一局，就是每队轮流打半局，而直到双方各有叁人被判出局，才算结束一局，再开始下一局的比赛。如果九局双方打成平手，还要一局一局延长下去，到分出胜负为止。
守和攻防守的球队，主要的任务是阻止攻击的球队回本垒得分。球赛开始，由防守球队的投手把球投到本垒上空的好球带围。攻击球队的打击手，要尽力把球打出去，打在有效区内。捕手要接住未被打中的球。他也可以接住本垒附近的高飞球，或触击球，传给队友，封杀跑垒的人。
防守的一方，每个队员都有责任去接住被打中的球。当然主要人物还是投手，因为他是最先有机会使对方打击手出局的人物。或是叁振，或是接杀，或是封杀、触杀。上垒和出局——挥棒落空，要记为好球；投来的球，要通过好球带，都是好球。好球带就是在本垒板上空，打击手的膝盖以上，腋窝以下的地带。擦棒界外，也记好球。但是在已有两个好球情况下，擦棒界外就不记了。
叁好球以後，打击手就要出局。如果捕手在叁好球时，把球掉在地上了，在他把球传到一垒手手中以，前打击手可以跑垒，若是失误，打击手可安全上垒，当然多数情形是会被封杀的。投球不在好球带以内是坏球。四个坏球就要保送打击手上一垒。任何一个好球被击中，在落地以前为防守球员接住，打击手就要出局，打击手击中球以後，跑到一垒以前，防守球员把球传到了一垒，他就被封杀出局。打击手击中球以後，在球被传到一垒以前到达一垒，是安打；到达二垒而球未传到，是二垒安打；到达叁垒是叁垒安打；击到全垒打线外为全垒打，跑垒员可连跑四垒回本垒得分。打击手一旦上垒，就成了跑垒员，同队的队友就要尽一切努力使他向前面的垒推进，直到回本垒得分。往前跑垒可以在队友的安打下跑；可以在对方失误下跑，也可以盗垒。盗垒是在无安打，无失误，无投手犯规等情形下，推进一垒。跑垒员若是未踩垒，被触杀，被队友打出的球击中，或越过先他在垒的跑垒员，都要出局

《橄榄球场地、规则及比赛方式》
场地：
宽30码，长60码，两端各有10码深的达阵区，距离达阵线5码内，以及距离球场中线5码内为「禁止冲锋区」(no-runningzone)，如此的规则安排，是为了要避免攻方在短距离的情况下，使用强力冲锋的持球强攻。
球赛进行：
一个球队由10人组成， 5 人在场上，另外 5 人为後补球员准备替换上场。一场比赛进行40分钟，如果40分钟後两队平手，则进入延长赛，先得分的一方获胜。比赛20分钟後两队换边进攻，但球权不变，比赛时钟也不停。
比赛开始前由掷铜板决定哪一方先攻。没有踢开球，攻方在自己的 5 码线展开进攻，有 3 次进攻机会将球推进过中线。如果攻方未能在3次进攻内将球攻过中线，则球权转移。将球攻过中线，将有3次机会来尝试达阵取分。如果攻方未能达阵，则球权转移，新的进攻方在其自己的5码线取得进攻权。拦截发生後，球权在拦截发生处转移。除了拦截球发生之外，其余任何一方取得球权的起攻线都是在自己的 5 码线。
发球必须由两腿之间往後传，不可由一侧往後传出。任何球员都可在死球时替换。当持球员的手帕被拔掉後，新的攻防线移到其持球员当时脚所在的位置，而不是当时球所在的位置。
每当球被裁判在场上摆好後，攻方要在30秒内发球。攻方初犯时会被警告，再犯则被判罚「延迟进攻」。任何追赶四分卫的防守球员在发球时必须距离攻防线至少 7 码。追赶四分卫的防守球员其人数不限，没去追赶四分卫的防守球员可以列队在攻防线後任意位置
，不受 7 码的约束。一旦球被递交出去後 ， 7 码的限定自动失效，任任何防守球员都可以越过攻防线追赶持球员。裁判可用特殊的器具来标示距离球7码的位置线。攻方不可以有任何协助持球员前进的阻挡动作，守方也不可以有任何擒抱持球员的动作。
每队在上下半场各有一次60秒和一次30秒的暂停机会。裁判可视需要暂停比赛时钟。
得分：
达阵可得 6 分；
达阵後的加分球为 1 分，是由达阵线外 5 码进攻一次；
二分转换进攻，是阵线外12码进攻一次；安全得分为 2 分。
持球冲锋和传接球：
四分卫不可持球冲锋，只有在攻防线後的直接递球是被允许的，攻方可以多次递球。不得有任何向侧面或是向後方的抛传球。球员拿到递球後，可在攻防线之後向前传球。当球被递交出去後，所有防守球员都可以去追赶持球员。持球员不可以跳起来闪避防守球员，也不可以前扑。所有球员都可以接球，包括四分卫。开球前列队时只有一名球员可以移动位置。球员接球时必须至少有一脚在界内。抛传球一定是朝前方，并且接球点要超过攻防线。四分卫有一个 7秒的「传球计时」，如果四分卫在 7 秒内未将球传出则形成死球，当球被递交出去後，此 7 秒传球计时即自动消失。
死球：
持球员的手帕被扯下；持球员出界；达阵或安全得分时；拦截发生时 ( 拦截後不可以回攻,持球员的膝盖触地；持球员的手帕掉落；球触地时(比赛时并没有 fumble 掉球，球的点即为死球点)。
犯规：
守方越位(offside)时罚5码及自动第一下进攻(automatic first down)
守方罚10码及自动第一下进攻的犯规有：
妨碍接球、非法碰撞(阻挡和擒抱等)非法扯手帕(在球员未拿到球之前)、非法追赶四分卫(违反 7 码的规定)。
攻方罚 5 码并损失一「下」(loss ofdown)的有：
非法开球(两人或以上的球员在开球时移动，提前跑动等)
非法前传与接球(传球者在越过攻防线後才出手，或接球者在未超过攻防线就接到前传的球)。
攻方罚10码并损失一「下」的有：
妨碍接球、推开防守球员、阻止对方扯手帕、延迟发球进攻。
